NEW - Diplomas in Commissioning, Procurement and Contracting for Care Services
The National Occupational Standards for Commissioning, Procurement and Contracting for Care Services were developed in response to requests from the Care Sector for qualifications in this growing area of practice. They were seen as important in the context of policy developments such as self-directed support and personalisation.
Commissioning, procurement and contracting is shaping the changing agenda of social care. Together with sector skills council partners Skills for Care and Development have developed a specific set of national occupational standards for workers involved in the commissioning, procurement and contracting process.
Commissioners and workers involved in procurement and contracting are at the forefront of ensuring that the provision of social care services is of high quality and based on improved outcomes for people who use services.
These national occupational standards have been developed to provide consistent and clear benchmarks for the delivery of a quality commissioning service.
Diplomas are available at Levels 3, 5 and 7 and are accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), the UKs leading Leadership and Management awarding organisation.
